Gert

Founded on the South Coast in 2017, by Gert van Zyl (a straight-talking, bee-loving, property-obsessed human), we’re here to make real estate feel a little more… well, real.

We believe property isn’t just about bricks, bonds, and “location, location.” It’s about the people. The memories. The possibility. And the honest, human relationships we build along the way. Whether you’re buying your first flat, selling the family beach house, renting out your spare spot, or hunting for that just-right forever home – we’re in your corner.

Our name says it all: Real, because we mean what we say, and Proper, because we do things properly. From Margate to Marina Beach, Southbroom to Shelly Beach, our ever-growing team of passionate agents and interns, are proudly local, proudly different, and seriously committed to getting the job done right – with creativity, care, and a splash of fun.

So, if you’re after the copy-and-paste approach, we might not be your people. But if you’re looking for a team that’s personal, professional, and a little bit unorthodox – we’d love to chat.
